Recipe: Grilled Cilantro Garlic Naan

Wow, what a weekend. It was 80 degrees and summer, then the power was out with the wind howling, and then back sun. Fall is right around the corner and I was craving garlic bread on Friday.  Knowing we'd be grilling that night, off to the store I trekked.  I can tell you with confidence this is going to be on the menu weekly during grill season going forward. Try this on the next sunny day and you’ll know why.

Grilled Cilantro Garlic Naan
serves 4-6

  • 4 Naan breads (Indian flatbread, I used the Whole Foods 365 brand package)
  • 1 head of Garlic (finely chopped; 4-8 cloves - adjust depending on your love of garlic)
  • 1/2 bunch of fresh Cilantro (finely chopped)
  • Olive Oil (about 4 tablespoons)
  • pinch of Salt

How To:

Chop garlic and cilantro, mix with olive oil.

Use a spoon to spread mixture on top of Naan. Sprinkle with Salt.

Grill 3-6 minutes until bottom has nice grill marks, remove from grill, cut into strips and serve.
