2008 DiStefano Cabernet Sauvignon

Wine: Cabernet Sauvignon (Columbia Valley)
Producer: Di Stefano Winery
Vintage: 2008    Varietal(s): Cabernet Sauvignon (92%), Merlot (4%), Cabernet Frac (3%), Petit Verdot (1%)
Cost: $25-32
Quality: 89-90 | Very Good

Dark plum colored in the glass. The aromatics are blue and black fruit, new leather, and some toasted oak. On the palate the wine shows dark cherry, leather, and earth. It is medium bodied with good tannin integration and acid. Nice wine. Very Good.

Buzz: Founded in 1983, Di Stefano was one of the first 5 wineries in Woodinville. I first found them on the Passport tour and remembered good wine and that they did ‘Cigar Dinners’ Brilliant. Down by the river, a great place to visit. Recommended.

Availability: Local wine shops, grocery stores & winery. (Bought mine at Fred Meyer)
